Update my voicemail, check the calendar to see who will be out or if we have visitors,check the computer to see who has not yet arrived. Contemplate if we need to make any adjustments to handle the needs of the day

Items that are more involved and require more concentration before the phone and emails start cranking up

What do you like most about your job?
Seeing the genuine satisfaction of our staff when they nail the big or unusual account or find the best market or know that they did a job that not only they are proud of, but met the needs of our customers
What is your dream account to write?
Anything that is truly reflective of the individual risk characteristics and exposures associated with the insured and matched with the best combination of pricing and coverage. Especially where the insured is aware that they are not purchasing a commodity off of the shelf and has an appreciation for what their insurance coverage can do for them.
What do you like the most about being in the insurance industry?
Meeting and befriending some truly exceptional people.
Strangest risk you ever worked on
A trucking firm that grossly mis-represented their loss history, driver history and overall operations.
How I ended up in Western Pensylvania:
I would have to ask my parents, but am content in the assumptions it was through normal procreative techniques prevalant in the late 1950s.
What is your favorite thing to work on?
Any project, whether it is product driven, procedures, professional development or compliance driven that helps to differentiate our company from our competitors.
