News & Views: The Next Step of Life

Newsletter – Tuesday, April 18, 2023

I know Rob welcomed spring in last month’s newsletter, but here in Western PA, spring weather didn’t show up until last week. Don’t get me wrong, I love winter, especially when there’s snow to play in. However, I’m excited to get outside and feel the sun on my face again!

Spring is a busy time in our house. My wife and two older daughters all celebrate birthdays within two weeks of each other in April. My oldest, Coco, had a milestone birthday this year: she turned 16. It’s sort of bittersweet. On the one hand, I’m excited for her as she starts to take on more adult responsibilities, pursues higher education, and begins the process of self-discovery that will hopefully result in her becoming a productive member of society. No one tell Coco that her dad dragged that process out so long! On the other hand, it makes me a little sad to know that in a couple of years, she’ll be leaving the nest. I can remember it like yesterday: we were the excited new parents bringing our baby home from the hospital (this being spring in Western PA, it snowed that day), and now I’m starting to wrap my head around the idea that I need to teach her how to drive a car…

Speaking of learning, did you know that Tuscano offers free one-hour CE classes every month? Our next CE will take place on May 3, and it’s all about employment practices liability insurance (EPLI). EPLI helps protect businesses from lawsuits due to issues with someone's job, like discrimination, wrongful termination, and more. Come learn with us about how important it is to offer EPLI to all your business clients.

If you need a quote for EPLI, please give one of our dedicated professional liability underwriters a call today to talk about it! Sandy and Debbie have the knowledge and expertise to help you navigate the different coverage forms and policy provisions, and Tuscano has multiple carrier options to fit your client’s needs.

As always, I'd love to receive feedback on how we are doing; call or drop me an email.
