Happy Valentine’s Day! According to the news, even Valentine’s Day has been impacted by pandemic-related supply chain issues! So, while there are no roses for Teri this year ☹, I do plan to cook up a special meal and open a great bottle of wine. There’s no shortage of food in the freezer or adult beverages at the Tuscano house!
 
Until recently, I’ve just avoided situations likely to cause me angst – no new truck, no new appliances, no new Apple Watch. But late last year I was informed it was time to upgrade our servers. Talk about sticker shock! To add insult to injury, once I got over the cost, our vendor told us it would take up to 90 days to source the components included in the proposal! Wait, what? I have been around the insurance business long enough to remember the days when it took 90 days to get an insurance policy! So, here we are, again. It’s a good thing money can’t buy you love, and things won’t make you happy!
 
While I am retraining my brain to let go of the ‘I must have it now’ mentality, let me remind you that some things are still free and on-demand! I’d encourage you to check out the library as well as the schedule of upcoming live webinar events.
 
We can also be thankful there is no shortage of capacity in the insurance marketplace, nor at Tuscano Agency! Lately, we’ve been seeing a lot of seasonal and secondary dwelling business come in the door. There’s no shortage of reasons why folks are looking to find a cabin in the woods or a home on the lake. This is a class we have a lot of carrier options to offer. For better property types, we can often place this business in an admitted market with plenty of coverage options. We can also help you when the risk is clearly hard-to-place, such as prior losses, it’s been uninsured, it is unprotected, or is coastal.
