The Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner, Teresa Miller, recently offered guidance to drivers for services such as Uber and Lyft about adequate insurance coverage for themselves and their passengers. As these services expand regionally, drivers for these companies should seek professinal advice about insurance coverage and this bulletin published by the Insurance Department is a good resource.
