Marketing Representative Position Description

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
This individual will have the job of communicating with customers and raising the level of awareness about both the personal lines and commercial lines products we offer, the Tuscano brand, and the benefit the customer can achieve by working with Tuscano. The goal is to uncover opportunities to write more business with our current customers while educating and informing new customers about our product offerings and advantages. Accept the responsibilities and deliver outstanding customer service in the execution of:
- Increase new submissions, quotes and premium by performing the following:
- Phone Calls – make qualified customer calls each week to promote all lines of business
- Qualified customer calls will be defined as speaking with the decision maker, the employee who writes the business or the employee who determines where business is placed at the agency.
- Visits/Virtual Visits – visit (both in person and virtually) every week to promote all lines of business
- Think strategically in planning who these visits are with to ensure that quality versus quantity visits are achieved.
- The purpose of these visits should be to build solid relationships with our agents by clearly communicating and educating them on our products, services and expectations.
- Onboarding Webinars – conduct onboarding webinars for our customers, or as needed. The purpose of these will be to lay a good foundation and groundwork need to successfully onboard new agents.
- Identify customers that have the greatest potential and grow their new business premium. Develop a plan of growth for these agents and track their submissions, quotes, binders & renewal retention.
- Systematically prospecting and engaging with new customers and with customers that have not yet utilized our products.
Develop a plan to follow-up after agency visits.
- Maintain and establish stronger relationships with our customers.
- Work with the Tuscano underwriting teams to understand trends and utilize data from submission activity to target our marketing efforts.
- Track production and activity with customers and use this information to report back to the team and management on trends and opportunities.
- Report to management and underwriting teams on the progress of marketing efforts and new broker relationships. Utilizing our internal intranet to communicate and document the findings.
- Strategize with the marketing team in the development and promotion of new markets, programs and expansions.
- Assist members of the Marketing team with projects, events and/or customer calls/visits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Skills are acquired through experience and training
- 5-10 years of insurance industry/sales experience is required
- Build strong relationships with our retail customers
- Utilize a sales mentality to promote the business

Travel:
- Travel time is required in the field to visit our customers
- Occasional overnight travel required
- Travel to Tuscano’s home office required during training
