I am the luckiest dog alive! I don’t win at poker all that often, but I do get to experience some amazing events and hospitality. As the iconic Talking Heads song goes,
“… And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife, and you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?"
I was invited to attend the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Course this year and what’s more, I was able to bring my beautiful wife! I’ve actually been to the tournament before but this year it was truly a special experience. What made it so special you say? To start, we had VIP passes that put us in Berckmans Place - the ultimate Masters VIP facility. It’s been called the Emerald City of the Masters – well above my pay grade!
From the moment we stepped through the entrance we were welcomed by dozens of young staff and one not so young gentleman in a green jacket – Lynn Swann! By the time he had greeted us (Lynn Swann is a greeter?!), I wanted to circle back and get in line again. I should mention and thank my hosts Tom and Christine, the good folks who work at Berckmans for that brief 1-week of the year, and the people of Augusta, GA who put up with the golf-invasion for that week. This was an experience of a lifetime and I’ll never forget it. Oh yeah, and the golf was amazing too!
What’s your ultimate experience? It’s probably not connected to your day job! Yet that is my challenge every day; how can Tuscano provide exceptional service over and above what you would experience anywhere else? To be honest, I know we have not yet arrived. We’ve gone live this week, so all new business quotes will include direct bill payment options. Billing notices for renewals will start going out in the next few weeks, starting with June 1 policies.
