Where's my Email?

Bulletin – Tuesday, August 12, 2014

Here at the Tuscano Agency, we value your business, and we know that nothing is more important to business than communication. Phones, email, USPS, and even text messages have become important means of exchanging files, information, and correspondence. Though one important difference between the US Postal Service and email is the mail carrier doesn’t throw your junk mail away!

We get bombarded with so much unnecessary information and especially junk, or spam email, that spam filters and junk mail folders have become essential to maintaining sanity. At the Tuscano Agency our spam filter prevents well over 1500 emails per day from reaching our employee’s inboxes. That’s over 1500 emails that didn’t waste our time or cut down on productivity. However, our team is also responsible for ‘scanning’ the junk mail for legitimate email. Inevitably we find email caught in our spam filter that our employees are looking for.

As beneficial as spam filtering can be, computers and technology can be fallible. False positives will always exist, and as great a job as email filtering can do, sometimes legitimate emails get classified as spam, being inadvertently put into the junk folder. This can disrupt the service you rely on – it could be a quote, a binder, or something equally important you have been waiting for. Never has it been more important to regularly check your junk folder and spam filter for legitimate emails.

Checking for legitimate business email is necessary and important to do, but there is also another way you can ensure your emails from Tuscano are never diverted. If you rely on an email program like Outlook to filter spam, the best way to keep communication with Tuscano uninterrupted is to add our domain tuscano.com, to your email program’s whitelist, or safe-senders list.

If you are using a hosted spam filter solution connected to a firewall you can also add tuscano.com to the program’s whitelist. If you are not your agency’s network administrator, you may need to call someone for assistance – but please do it – They don’t know Tuscano is an important business partner and you don’t want to miss that great quote our underwriter is sending you.

We’ve provided links below for adding Tuscano.com to the safe senders list in common versions of Microsoft Outlook. If you would like any additional assistance with web based email clients or other email clients, please let us know. The Tuscano tech team is happy to assist.
