If you are a living, breathing American you probably know that tonight kicks off the primary election cycle in the United States. I have never felt this much angst about the political process, even though I am typically pretty engaged by it. I come by this naturally because it was the environment I grew up in, since Bill Tuscano was so politically active.

That's not to say that all was peace and joy in the Tuscano household! I specifically remember the 70's, the Nixon and Vietnam era, and the Doves and Hawks. At least those arguments made sense to me even at 10 years old! Some folks wish for the good old days, but unfortunately, there is no going back. What we can do going forward is to be better parents, better neighbors, and better citizens.

If you are looking for a bright side to life then look no further! We have some great things happening here at Tuscano, and it is all about providing an excellent customer experience.

I hope you know by now that Tuscano can also help you with your premium finance needs. Ryan Stabile joined us a few years ago with a background in banking and finance. Since then he has helped us to get our in-house finance company, Highland Premium Finance, off the ground. We are now financing premium in five states and have plans to add more in the coming year. In less than 3 years, we have grown so that we now have two full-time staff working in our financing division: Janet Leong, financing specialist, (who recently moved from our Accounting Team), and Loraine Kinley, financing clerk. Ryan is still managing the team, but has shifted roles and day-to-day responsibilities over to our insurance operations.

I would also like to mention our Commercial Auto Team who has written some very nice accounts lately - in fact, you should check out some of the Cargo accounts at the bottom of this email! We have several markets to keep you covered. On the list you will see the variety of Cargo risks that come through our door. The experts on our Commercial Auto team would love to help you write this business. And, as always, you know they will take care of you well after the binder goes out the door!

Hopefully, you all survived winter storm Jonas. We got our share of the snowfall in these parts, about a foot here in Greensburg and 18" in the highlands where I live. All in all, it was a nice diversion, and we even got out to ski a bit.

Stay warm and active - I am sure there is more to come!
